Frank Azar, founder of Franklin D. Azar & Associates
Frank Azar was born in Pueblo, CO, spent most of his childhood in Trinidad, CO, and currently resides in Aurora, CO where he owns and operates his own law practice, Franklin D. Azar & Associates.
Growing up, Mr. Azar idolized his father, who served as the District Attorney in Trinidad. Back then, all anyone needed to do to advertise was place a sign that said “Attorney at Law” outside of his or her establishment, and that was good enough. Nowadays, it isn’t that easy, so Frank took to the airwaves and started advertising on television. His signature commercials can be seen pretty much any time of the day and on all of the major networks. Frank Azar's unique form of advertising has yielded great success and recognition for the Denver-based attorney, and may be what brought you here in the first place!
While living in Trinidad, Mr. Azar worked on his grandfather’s ranch, the “Saliba Ranch,” located near Walsenburg, CO. Frank mended fences and watered and branded cattle, but the most important thing Frank Azar learned working on the ranch was the importance of hard work, dedication, and drive.
Mr. Azar graduated Cum Laude from the University of Colorado in 1979, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree. Frank Azar was also a member of the Phi Beta Kappa fraternity. Frank received his Juris Doctor from the University of Denver in 1982. Mr. Azar is admitted to practice before the bars of Colorado, Texas and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas. He is also a member of the Colorado, Minnesota, Texas, and American Trial Lawyers Associations, as well as the Colorado Bar Association. Frank Azar’s areas of practice include: personal injury, labor law, bad faith insurance claims, class action lawsuits, motor vehicle accidents, and mass torts. Formerly, Mr. Azar was an Assistant District Attorney for the Third Judicial District. In 1983 Frank Azar established his own firm, Franklin D. Azar & Associates, P.C., where he currently offers representation in various areas of law.
Throughout the 3+ decades Frank Azar has been practicing, he has negotiated thousands of settlements, as well as won countless verdicts during trial, all to the benefit of his clients. He has worked on Class Action cases, fighting for the rights of both pharmacists and hourly workers at Wal-Mart, and has been involved with countless cases against big drug companies. Currently, Mr. Azar is fighting for the victims of defective hip implants, and people injured during surgery at the mechanical hand of the Da Vinci Robot.
Seeing that Frank’s father was an attorney, it just seemed right to follow in his footsteps; however, Frank was not his father’s only child to make the decision to practice law. Frank’s sister, Yvonne, and brother, William, both had their own thriving law practices.
In addition to his successful career as a plaintiff’s attorney, Frank Azar also enjoys old movies, imported cigars, and playing golf internationally. He enjoys golf so much that he sponsors an annual tournament called the Azar Invitational, which draws participants from all over the country, and raises scholarship money for students at Trinidad State Junior College to attend the university of their choice.
